- The ¹ 13 train arrives at Berlin’s three main train stations: Ostbahnhof, Hauptbahnhof and Zoologische Garten.

- All trains going to Western Europe leave from Belorusski train station. From December 11th 2007, the ¹ 13/14 Moscow-Berlin train will start attaching an extra carriage, in which people will be able to travel direct to Paris. From December 11th 2007 till May 22nd 2008 and from October 7th 2008 till December 9th 2008, the carriage will be available twice a week, leaving Moscow on Tuesdays and Thursdays. During the summer season, from May 25th 2008 till October 2nd 2008, the carriage will go three times a week from Moscow: on Saturdays, Tuesday and Thursdays. A 2nd class adult ticket costs around 330 Euros.
- 3 Which documents do you need to get a visa to Russia?
In order to process a visa to Russia foreigners have to go to the Russian consulate or embassy in their country and present the following documents:
• An invitation (the official grounds for processing a visa to Russia).
• A passport, whose validity should exceed the planned date of departure from Russia by 6 months.
• Form (two copies, filled in and signed).
• Photographs: 3x4cm (some Russian consulates issue old-styled visas, a card inside the passport, in which case you will need 3 mat photographs).They may also ask for the following additional documents:
• An HIV certificate (this is necessary if the visa is for longer than 90 days).
• Medical insurance.
• Copy of national ID.
• Evidence of funds (proof of sufficient economic funds for your stay in Russia).
• Work permit (for an employment visa).- 4 How do you call other cities in Russia cities from Moscow?
- There are two ways of calling from Moscow.
1. From a home phone, dial 8, wait for the tone, then dial the code of the city you want to call (codes can be found at http://www.e-adres.ru/phonecodes/1/), and then the phone number.
2. You can buy a national and international calling card, for example Arktel. These cards are sold at phone centers and supermarkets. Call the number on the card, and then follow the operator’s instruction. - 5 How do you get to Red Square and to the Arbat from "Prospekt Mira" metro station?
To get to Red Square from Prospekt Mira metro station on the Kaluzhsko-Rizhskaya Line you need to go to Turgenevskaya station, change to Chistye Prudy station and go to Okhotny ryad station. There you get off, go up the escalator and out onto the street.
To get to Arbat from Prospeskt Mira on the Circle ring you need to go to Kievskaya Station and change to Kievskaya station on the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line. Then the best thing to do is get on to the train and go to Smolenskaya station, as the exit at Arbatskaya station is closed temporarily. Another option is when you get to Kievsksya change to the Filevskaya line, instead of the Arbatsko-Pokrovskaya line and get off at Arbatskaya station.

- 7 What can one see in the VVÑ?
- The VVC is the former VDNKh (the Exhibition of the Peoples’ Economy Achivements). Today, the VVC is one of the most popular places for leisure among Muscovites and guests to the capital. At the VVC you can visit the amusement park, which has the biggest "Ferris Wheel" in Europe, the "Antre" circus, the city of artists, the Village of Fisherman, and the "Ice age” museum-theatre. Here there are continuous exhibitions of different kinds and with varying themes. There are lots of beautiful fountains in the VVC, and till September 2007 at the Fountain of Friendship of the People (fontan Druzhba narodov) there will be a French show of dancing fountains every hour and a half from Thursday to Sunday. Also worth visiting is the Moscow House of Butterflies, in the second pavilion, which opened this year. There, you can see the first-ever held exhibition in Russia of live exotic butterflies from South-East Asia, Africa and South America.
