Russia Through aTrain Window

The exhibition “Russia Through the Train Window”, a joint project of Russian Railways Co Ltd. and photographer Anton Lange, inaugurated the “1/9 Objective Reality" project

Anton Lange is one of the brightest and most successful photographers of contemporary Russia. He studied under Vadim Hippenreiter. He works with Russian Railways Co Ltd., GQ, Harpers Bazaar, Wallpaper, GEO and Vockruh Sveta, Martini, Nokia, Sony-Ericsson, Bookberry and many other famous publishers and companies. In the past, he graduated from and then taught at the biological department of the Moscow State University. Professional naturalist and explorer, honorary member of WWF.

The exhibition comprises over 200 photographs, which he has taken during all his trips by train to the most picturesque and exciting regions of Russia: Lake Baikal, the Far East and Sakhalin, Siberia, North-West of Russia, Southern Urals, Black Sea cost and Northern Caucasus, the Golden Ring and Central Russia.

Anton Lange: “Russia Through the Train Window” is one of the biggest and most unique projects in the history of Russian photography. And this is indeed so because it’s dedicated to Russia, a country which possesses more diversity than any other country in the world.
