The Second International Forum of Industrial Design "DESIGN ACT 2008”

From the 29th till the 31st of August visitors at the VINZAVOD Centre of Contemporary Art will be able to participate in events which will present different areas of industrial design:

Design Forum: discussion club, exchange of experiences and master classes by famous Russian and international designers.

Design Market: an exhibition-market of designer items. At VINZAVOD’s Zelenii Angar you will be able to purchase the most unusual creative designer items you have ever seen. This year, more than 40 westerners and Russian will be taking part.

Exhibition of the All Russian RusDAuto competition. The winner will be announced at the Design Party and he/she will receive a yearlong course at the Italian school of design Instituto Europeo di Design in the faculty of the "Design of Means of Transport".

Design Exhibition (the Red Workshop): exhibitions of all types of designer items by designers from the west and Russia.

Design Café will be found in the Malaya Square of VINZAVOD, in the very epicentre of the International Forum. At the entrance to the forum there will be music and electronic projects in the style of lounge, Nu Jazz, funky and JazzHouse.

Design Party will take place on August 30 at the Main Wine Cellar at the VINZAVOD Centre of Contemporary Art. This will be the closing evening of the event and will include an awards ceremony for the best piece of work of the All Russian Competition RusDAuto. Guests will include celebrities from the worlds of art, design and advertising. The programme will feature performances, art-videos as well as famous western DJs and bands.
