Jazz in the Heritage Garden

The 11th “Jazz in the Heritage Garden" festival will take place August 22-24. All concerts start at 5pm.

The first open-air jazz festival “Jazz in the Hermitage Garden” took place in August 1998. Since then, about 150 soloists and bands from Russia and 22 other countries have played at the festival, attended in total by approximately 80,000 people. As is traditional, after the festival concerts the “Restauratsia” club hosts overnight jam-sessions. Usually the festival “Jazz in the Hermitage Garden” is held between the 20th and the 29th of August.

We have invited the greatest stars of world jazz to take part in the 11th Moscow International festival “Jazz in the Hermitage Garden”. To name a few: saxophonist Craig Handy, pianists Larry Willis and George Colligan from the United States, Polish jazz legend pianist Adam Makovich, the most famous Austrian jazzman Carlheinz Miklin, American singers Greta Matassa and Nefertari Bey, and many musicians from the UK, Israel, Slovakia, France and other countries. Among the Russian participants we will see: “MosGorTrio” of the extraordinary pianist Jacob Okun’, quintet of the amazing saxophonist Аlexey Nikolaev, who now resides and works in the United States, LaBER Band of the famous Moscow keyboard player Eugeniy Revniuk, outstanding singer Anastasia Glazkova, virtuoso saxophonist Dmitriy Mospan (soloist of the Igor Butman Orchestra), the band of young Russian jazz stars Crazy Rhythm, and the quartet of Oleg Butman and Natalia Smirnova.
