Greece in Russia
On 20 November, at 4 p.m. in the SAVOY Moscow hotel (3 Rozhdestvenka), a presentation of dishes of Greek cuisine will take place, with the compulsory ingredient of saffron.
Greek crocus, or saffron, is among the highest quality saffron in the world. Crocus plantations cover over 1,000 hectares and yield around 8 tons of produce a year. Saffron has a strong, unique aroma, and a bitter, spicy taste. It is usually added to rice dishes, soups, confectionary, and also used in dishes of lamb, mutton, cauliflower, fish and many others.
