12pm to 7pm, l3pm to 4pm – lunch breakIt’s one of the most frequented**** music halls. “The Berezka” dance-group and Eliso Virsaladze perform here, as so do Josef Kobzon, Alexey Batashev and “The Vivaldi-orchestra”. Designed and built by the architect Chechulin between 1938-1940, the hall reflects “social realism” aesthetics – there is a lot of space, pathos and in there a person feels like a insignificant part of society. The Hall’s opening night on the 12th of December, 1940, coincided with Peter Chaikovsky’s 100th anniversary. The concert hall has been named after him.
