The theatre was founded in 1989. The founders of the theatre are working on a choreography, which they call “plastic ballet”, which differentiates itself from classical ballet in that the dancers "sing" music with their bodies. Peformances are accompanied by music by A. Skryabin, A. Shnitke, V. Artemov, J.M. Jarre and by J.S. Bach and G.F. Handel. The theatre's artistic director is Aida Chernova. The principal choreographer is Sergei Starukhin.
